Artwork and design will impact your pricing. The first step for our team is learning about your artwork.
Print-ready files - Print-ready files are considered ai, eps and sometimes pdf files. - We can also work with .psd or .tiff files at 300 DPI. - For a graphic design fee, we can typically also work with png files with transparent background at the actual output size.
Print-ready files are not png or jpg files, word documents, power point slides or jpg files that have been saved as pdf files. We can likely work with these files, but they will require graphic design services at our hourly rate.
Graphic Design Fees If you provide us with a print-ready vector file that meets our production standards, there is not a graphic design fee.
If you do not have a print-ready vector file, you can utilize our graphic design services at our standard hourly rate. If you're in a time crunch and/or just want it done right the first time, we suggest this route. Our designer is exceptional and understands how to prepare files for production. You are welcome to work with your own designer and provide us print-ready vector files as well. Please note, your production timeline does not start until we receive print-ready artwork.
Screen fees We do not charge screen fees on orders of 144 shirts or more.
Screen fees are applied on all orders under 144 shirts. These fees increase with each additional color added to your design as well as location (front, back, sleeve, etc.)
Ink matching and shirt colors Colors you see on your phone will be slightly different than how colors appear on fabric. We can match specific PMS colors per request. Printing white/light ink on dark/black shirts may require a base screen in production.
Art Approval We require all art approval through our online invoices or via email. It’s extremely important that you thoroughly review your mockup before approving it. We will not be responsible for errors, misspelling, or otherwise in approved digital mockups and artwork.
Pricing Print Minimums & Order Quantities Our minimum order is 24 shirts - we don't really have a maximum order (depending on the turnaround time requested.) At certain quantities, price breaks will go into effect simply because we're optimizing the efficiency of our set-up and production time. During the quote process, we'll let you know if you are near one of those price breaks as to help you determine if you should order more or less.
Shirt quality and fabric One of the biggest drivers of price will be the garment you decide to print on. We carry a range of different shirt options, allowing you to choose a fabric and style based on your specific needs and budget. We'll offer you a few choices, often with the 'good, better, best' approach. 100% cotton will cost less than triblend fabrics. We have a few specific best sellers that are popular because they hit the 'budget friendly' mark and offer a great final product.
Number of colors/inks Simply put, the more colors you want, the more your final cost will be. You'll often hear terms like 'one color' and 'two color' and that simply refers to the number of inks, or colors, you have in your design. (Helpful hint: The most budget friendly design is one color dark ink that is printed on a white or light colored shirt.) Every new color you add to your design - whether it's significant part of the design or single dot - requires a new screen and set-up going into production.
Print locations Will your design just be on the front of the shirt? Will you also be printing on the back or sleeve? The number of locations (typically front and back) will also factor into final pricing. If your design has a front and back design, it requires two press set ups, which results in a higher final price. If budget is a big factor, one thing to consider is keeping your design to one print location. If your design requires two print locations (and many do) but you're on a budget, we recommend having at least one of the locations be a single ink color.
